Assessing the Effects of Steelmaking Slag Powder on the Pore Structure and Durability of Concrete

This study analyzes the pore structure and durability of concrete according to four different ratios steelmaking slag powder (SSP). Concrete containing SSP increased formation gel capillary pores due delayed hydration, largest cumulative volume was observed when incorporation ratio 20%. In terms durability, had decreased performance compared without (NN), which changes in caused by incorporating SSP. case freezing thawing resistance, 10% showed a remarkable relative dynamic elastic modulus more than 80%, similar carbonation depth predicted within 15% addition, resistance chloride ion migration with excellent. Accordingly, it can be utilized as supplementary cementitious material if is secured.
